Charitable Giving
In 2014, Financial Planning Services established an employee driven charitable giving program, setting aside a percentage of the company income each year for this program. Annually, each employee nominates a charity to receive a portion of the funds. Previous charities have included Riley Children's Hospital, The Boys & Girls Club of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, The Shoe That Grows, Olivet Nazarene University, Autism Society of Indiana, Footsteps Missions, International House, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kate's Kart, Matthew 25 and Samaritan's Purse.
For the 2025 Christmas season, Financial Planning Services donated to the following organizations:
- Josiah White's
- Nazarene Compassionate Ministries
- Concordia Lutheran High School's A Bold Step Campaign
- Hearten House
- Fortify Life
- The Fries Foundation
- Kate's Kart
- Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana
- Community Transportation Network (CTN)
- We Carry Kevan
- Erin's House for Grieving Children
This brings the total given to charities since the start of the program to over $93,000. We plan to continue this practice in future years, and we thank all of our clients for being a part of this ongoing outreach to our community.
During our 2025 Christmas Open house we collected donations for Erin's House for Grieving Children. We are excited that we collected the following for this great organization:
- $1,211.84 in cash, checks and gift cards.
